Welcome to Kalå. Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using our website or purchasing our products. By accessing or using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

Kalå is a brand committed to atmospheric wellness through functional fragrance. All products are hand-crafted with care, intention, and safety in mind. However, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure safe, appropriate, and supervised use at all times.

How to Use Our Candles

Always trim the wick to 5–6mm before each use.
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time to ensure the wax melts evenly and to prevent tunnelling.
Use a candle snuffer or lid to extinguish.
Allow wax to cool and solidify before relighting.
Do not burn when less than 1cm of wax remains.
Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and direct sunlight.
Never leave a candle unattended while burning.
Keep away from children, pets, and fabrics.
Do not move a burning candle or touch the glass vessel when hot.

Safety Warnings

Burn within sight at all times.
Candles contain natural essential oils that may cause allergic skin reactions in sensitive individuals.
Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with soap and water and seek medical advice if irritation occurs.
Do not ingest.
Dispose of used candles, wax, and packaging in accordance with local regulations.

Pregnancy and Medical Advice

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have allergies, respiratory sensitivities, or are taking medication, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before using fragranced or essential-oil-based products.

Kalå products are intended for general wellbeing purposes and do not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Ingredient Transparency

All Kalå blends are made with 100% naturally sourced essential oils and plant-derived ingredients. We do not use synthetic fragrances, phthalates, parabens, sulphites, paraffin, or petroleum byproducts.

A full ingredient list is available upon request. Common allergens such as linalool, citral, eugenol, and geraniol may be present in trace amounts.

Liability Disclaimer

Use of Kalå candles and products is at your own risk. Kalå is not liable for any damage, injury, fire, loss, or allergic reaction resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety guidelines.

Candles can become hot during use and may cause burns, cracking, or damage to surfaces if used improperly.

Always place candles on a suitable, heatproof surface and allow the vessel to cool before handling.

Kalå does not accept responsibility for:

Fire, burns, or damage caused by unattended or unsafe use.
Use of candles near flammable materials, fabrics, or surfaces.
Adverse reactions due to undisclosed allergies or sensitivities.
Alterations, refilling, or re-use of empty vessels by the customer.

By purchasing and using Kalå products, you agree that you assume full responsibility for your own safety and that of your property.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kalå and its affiliates disclaim all liability for damages of any kind arising from the use or misuse of its products, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

Shipping, Returns & Damaged Goods

If your candle arrives damaged, please notify us within 7 days of receipt with photographic evidence. We will, at our discretion, offer a replacement or refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Product Compliance

All Kalå candles are CLP-compliant (Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008) and manufactured in accordance with applicable UK safety standards for home fragrance products.

Safety and allergen labels are provided on all packaging and must not be removed prior to sale or gifting.

Intellectual Property

All text, images, branding, product names, and content on this website are the intellectual property of Kalå and may not be reproduced or used without prior written consent.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
